The record's original compositions were written as tributes to the jazz greats whose music helped shape his artistic voice. Blending swinging rhythms, soulful improvisation, and strong melodic writing, the album celebrates the enduring legacy of the tradition while introducing Ardeshir as a compelling new voice within it. Featuring Julian Borkowski on trumpet, Winston Matsushita on piano, David Caballero on bass, Graham Villette on drums, Juan Encinales on percussion, with guest spots from Cory Weeds and Steve Kaldestad on tenor saxophone.
