Bee and Flower, a Berlin/NYC-based musical project led by Dana Schechter, creates a cinematic sound blending intimacy, subtlety, power, and release. The band's unique songwriting features surprising melodic twists, complemented by Dana Schechter's emotive vocals. Formed in New York in 1997, Bee and Flower released their debut album 'What's Mine is Yours' in 2003, composed film scores, and toured regularly. In 2004, they flew to Berlin for creative freedom and renewal, resulting in the album 'Last Sight of Land.' The record showcases Schechter's songwriting evolution, blending Chicago blues with Eastern European classical music. The album features a 25-piece string section, grand pianos, a substantial bass section, vintage electronics, and more. The music explores universal themes of hope, heartbreak, love, and renewal. 'Last Sight of Land' includes special guests such as drummer Thomas Wydler and guitarists Kristof Hahn, Peter von Poehl, and Beate Bartel.
