After 50 years, some of the former musicians of the group BETWEEN got together and recorded an anniversary album.
In the late 1960s, a group of diverse and talented musicians formed the internationally acclaimed band 'BETWEEN' in Germany. The ensemble, consisting of musicians from various parts of the world and different musical backgrounds, collaborated to compose and improvise. Led by composer and improviser Peter Michael Hamel, the group recorded six albums during the 1970s, gaining popularity and influencing the world music genre. Five decades later, some original members, along with new additions, have reunited to create and record the album 'Free Music,' released on INTUITION. The album, sounding like a rejuvenated version of BETWEEN, maintains its distinctive spirit, offering an aesthetically refreshed and technically updated experience for listeners with open minds and sympathetic ears.
