Centuries ago, a mysterious meteor fell from the sky. Imbued with power, the ancient Egyptians carved it into the shape of a mystical scarab. Now, in the present, an evil villain known as the Sphinx tries to retrieve it. Unknown to the Sphinx, the scarab has fallen into the hands of a heroic archaeologist and granted him super powers and the black costume of THE SCARAB.
