Born in the late '90s underground scene, Dying Awkward Angel was founded by guitarist and composer Edoardo Demuro, driven by the urge to create music that was fast, raw, and uncompromising. Inspired by the Gothenburg melodic death metal wave and the aggression of American thrash and death metal, the band developed a sound both violent and melodic--refined over time through relentless live activity and constant evolution.

With a lineup featuring members from bands like Highlord, Opera IX, Grievers, Kenos, and Symmetric Disorder, Dying Awkward Angel has shared the stage with acts such as Decapitated, Impaled Nazarene, Necronomicon, Forgotten Tomb, and Node. Following their 2018 release Absence of Light, the band now returns stronger than ever with a new full-length album: 'The Missing Frame'.

Anticipated by the singles 'The Magical World of the Dead' and 'Music Kills', The Missing Frame showcases a faster, heavier, and more focused direction. 'We wanted a no-compromise record,' the band says. 'So we selected only the strongest material. What you hear is the result of a brutal and honest collaboration.'

The album delves into the contrast between good and evil, real and unreal, instinct and control--expressed through lyrics that are deeply personal and drawn from the members' lives, stories, and fears. 'We hope people will truly feel what we feel, and bring that energy to the live shows,' says vocalist Michele Spallieri. 'This is our most authentic version yet.'

Musically, The Missing Frame merges the surgical intensity of Swedish melodeath with the rawness of American metal, filtered through a distinctly Italian identity. The result is intense, unpredictable, and honest.
