Cavernous, cacophonous, and rapturous, Dark Abstraction is a slab of death metal beyond space and time.

Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, Ectovoid originally released Dark Abstraction in the summer of 2015. Now, ten years later, they have teamed with Boris Records to reissue the cavernous of slab of death metal. Following the death of their guitarist, M.S., in 2016, Ectovoid soldiered on but their pace was interrupted. Since Dark Abstraction, the have released a split and an EP, but have only recently started working on their third full-length, which will be released by Everlasting Spew Records.

Drawing on Incantation, Demilich, and Immolation, as well as Demoncy and KTHRSS, Ectovoid have carved out their space in the sprawling field of death metal.

Released on the 10th anniversary of the record's debut, Ectovoid pay respect to their roots, paying homage to guitarist M.S. in the liner notes, but also have an eye on the future as they complete the writing process for their third full-length.
