The new album 'If Not Now' by Clarinetist James Danderfer. Recorded at the legendary Rudy Van Gelder Studio. The music was composed over a focused few months and reflects a deeply personal snapshot of the artist's life--his family, his musical influences, and the players he was writing for. At the heart of the project is Danderfer's clarinet, guiding the narrative with warmth, lyricism, and clarity. Danderfer plays clarinet & bass clarinet. The first rate band features Steve Davis on trombone, Cory Weeds on tenor saxophone, Atley King on vibraphone, Miki Yamanaka o piano, Tyrone Allen on bass and Kush Abadey on drums.
