'Jimmy James', born Michael Francis James on 13th September 1940, in the parish of St Ann, Jamaica began his astonishing long lasting singing career in Kingston at the age of eighteen continuing to entertain audiences into his eighties 'with the energy and drive of a twenty year old'. For over forty years Jimmy James, sang soulfully and, together with the varied, multi-talented line up of The Vagabonds never gave less than 100%.
