Leroy Carr was born 1905 in Nashville TN. He played piano and he wrote one of the most famous bluessongs in Blues history, “Howling Blues” – also on this CD! On most of his songs, Scrapper Blackwell guitar is present. In the 30´s he was one of the most famous Bluesmen in America, but he had problems with alcohol and died too early
