Following a long sabbatical, Gioachino Rossini dedicated the last years of his life primarily to piano salon music. He created a vast body of late work, which he compiled under the title 'Sins of Old Age'. Upon discovering these witty yet demanding works, Marco Marzocchi chose 12 'Sins' for this CD, amongst them one of his favorite pieces - the 'Petit Caprice', which gave this recording its name.
