With the world premiere recording of Orazio Benevoli's Missa 'In diluvio aquarum multarum', the NDR Choir and conductor Philip Ahmann trace the Berlin Sing-Akademie's beginnings in a CD that showcases soloists of the NDR Choir. Benevoli's Missa, brought back to Berlin by composer Johann Friedrich Reichardt, inspired Carl Friedrich Fasch's 'Missa a 16 voci' and Mendelssohn's 'Hora est'.
