The Story
The 2nd album of Greek heavy/folk metallers PASSENGERS IN PANIC!
Passengers In Panic is a Heavy/Folk Metal band based in
Athens, Greece, which was formed in December 2019. The
band's current line up is: Yohanna (Ioanna Galani) on vocals,
Lefteris Christou on bass, Lela Argyri on guitar and Fivos
Andriopoulos on drums.
The uniqueness of the band's sound comes from the
mixture of heavy metal and traditional -mainly greek-
instruments and rhythm patterns. The Macedonian gainda,
the kaval, the laouto, the violin and the daouli create the
folk atmosphere that connects all the pieces together.
From the first listen of the songs, it is obvious that the
source of inspiration for the lyrics is man himself and the
various situations one can experience, such as toxic
relationships, human violence, the fight for survival,
injustices, but also issues of social content.
They managed to release their maiden album
of the same title one year right after their creation, in
December 2020 via Sleaszy Rider Records.
After endless touring in Greece and abroad (Czech Republic, Romania) they finished their 2nd album 'Amnesia'.
The vocals were recorded by Yohanna, the guitars by Lela, the bass by Lefteris Christou and the drums by Fivos Andriopoulos. They worked with Psychon, guitarist of
Septicflesh, who did the mixing and mastering of the album at Sound Abuse Productions Studio. Yiannis Tsortekis, contributed in the tracks 'Kaixis' and 'Erase Me' as a singer and a narrator. The greek actor and director is best known for the successful
Netflix series 'Maestro', as well as for his success in many other well-known greek series and films, such as 'Fonisa' and 'The Chaos She Left Behind' a short film that won the
second prize in La Cinef at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Christos Antoniou, guitarist of the symphonic death metal band Septicflesh has contributed greatly with symphonic
orchestration for the song 'How to Breathe'.
Amesia will be released worldwide on digital, cd and LP by Sleaszy Rider SRL on 6th June 2025.
