At no time is the boot ever taken off the accelerator as this is speed for speed's sake and excess for the sheer enjoyment of gluttony.' Metal site, The Sleeping Shaman shared, 'Schizophrenia set out to annihilate their listeners with an absolute assault of crunching death metal crossed with high octane and pacey thrash metal...' Last Rites added, 'Taking their name and some musical cues from early Sepultura, Schizophrenia's particular style of death / thrash falls somewhere between those Brazilian titans, New Jersey's battering Demolition Hammer, classic Teutonic thrashing, and the burlier side of melodic death metal, with a few twists to keep it all interesting. So yes, it's heavily indebted to the old guard, and it wears its influences clearly upon its sleeveless patch vest, but it's also professionally and passionately executed, a lovely homage to the glory days and gory ways of the classics.'
