Darkwave duo Solemn Shapes announce new EP Calling, now available for pre-order from Distortion Productions, LLC. Calling features six tracks, including a remix by Dallas based dark electronic band NITE, a live show staple b-side 'Concealed Within', two alternate remixes by Solemn Shapes, and a cover from the original Dark Shadows TV show Soundtrack. Calling is a continuation of the dark, synth-heavy psychedelic themes of horror that the Shapes are known for. It is the Charlotte, North Carolina synth band's first release on Distortion Productions, LLC. Calling is mastered by Rob Robinson (ohGr, Order Of The Static Temple), and will be available on Bandcamp and streaming services on December 6, 2024.

Solemn Shapes will be performing across the US this fall in support of Calling on the Art of Darkness Tour with label mates The Russian White. The co-headlining 25-date tour starts in September and ends in late October, with shows planned across the East Coast, Midwest and Southern United States, with a Dark City Festival appearance on October 26 in New Orleans. Calling is now available for pre-order on Bandcamp from Distortion Productions, LLC and Solemn Shapes. Fans who attend the Art of Darkness Tour will be able to purchase a physical copy of the EP from the band at shows and some exclusive merch before it hits digital services in December
