Teofilo Chantre has announced the release of his new album 'Emocionalmente' on 29 November 2024 via Lusafrica label.

5 years after the release of his last opus, to record this new chapter, Teofilo immersed himself in the atmosphere of his homeland, Mindelo. In the studio, he reunited with his accomplices and pillars of Cape Verdean music: Hernani Almeida and guitarist Voginha. He also invited the new generation: Kalin Gomes on keyboards. And his faithful French musicians, including Jacky Fourniret on accordion, Thierry Fanfant on double bass and Kim Dan Lê Oc Mach on violin.

The whole band came together to breathe life into his coladeiras, mazurkas, jazz ballads open to the four winds, bossa nova, samba... And above all his irresistible 'mornas', with their luminous simplicity, those pieces of sadness that can be danced, so characteristic of the essence of São Vincente.
