The Story

Umbrella Entertainment proudly presents The Fall in stunning 4K HDR for the first time—a breathtaking visual and emotional masterpiece from visionary director Tarsem Singh, known for The Cell and Immortals. Hailed as one of the most ambitious and visually dazzling films of the 21st century, The Fall stands as a profound tribute to storytelling, imagination, and the transformative power of cinema itself.

Filmed over four years across 24 countries with no sets and entirely self-financed by Singh, the film achieves an unmatched level of authenticity and scope. Every frame bursts with vibrant imagery and emotional resonance, weaving together myth and memory in a cinematic tapestry that is both intimate and epic.

Set in 1920s Los Angeles, the story follows young Alexandria (Catinca Untaru), a child recovering in a hospital who befriends a despondent Hollywood stuntman named Roy (Lee Pace, The Twilight Saga, The Hobbit). To ease his own despair, Roy begins to tell Alexandria a fantastical tale about a band of heroes on a quest to defeat the tyrannical Governor Odious. As the vivid story unfolds, the boundaries between fiction and reality begin to dissolve, revealing deep truths about pain, loss, and hope.

This definitive edition is loaded with extras, including two insightful audio commentaries—one with Tarsem Singh, and another featuring Lee Pace, co-writer/co-producer Nico Soultanakis, and co-writer Dan Gilroy. Newly produced interviews feature production designer Ged Clarke, cinematographer Colin Watkinson, and actor Lee Pace, alongside two in-depth video essays—“The Making of an Impossible Film” by Virat Nerhu and “The Quest for Origins: Trauma, Cinema and Storytelling in Tarsem’s The Fall” by Anton Bitel. Additional features include deleted scenes, archival cast and crew interviews, and the making-of featurettes “Wanderlust” and “Nostalgia.”

A singular work of art—at once intimate, grand, surreal, and human—The Fall is a film that continues to captivate new generations of viewers, now presented in its most spectacular form.
